The Four Lands is a fantasy role playing environment which focuses on the struggles encountered by the inhabitants of a land on the brink of being torn apart by war, greed and dark magic. An extended winter has fallen over the human and dwarven realm of Tathar, and as time moves toward mid-Spring the snow does not yet cease to fall.
Though the bulk of the realm’s armed forces lie in a long-standing war across the sea, an unexpected and unusual threat has risen from the centre of Tathar itself. Born from the obsessive greed - but perhaps good intentions - of a single human mage, the once dormant Argothian Ruins have become the focus point for dark magic and the spread of eerie undeath. A dark mist now creeps ever forward from the gaping maw of a labyrinth hidden below the crumbling rocks of the ancient village, corrupting and killing everything in its path.
The black fog, dubbed “The Creep” by nearby villagers and those who have seen it, shows no sign of slowing or retreating, swallowing entire baronies and villages nearby. Almost all that feel it’s touch will die, and those that survive live only to tell tales of the horrific beasts and abominations of flesh that lurk within.
The Queen has done her best to accommodate the refugees that arrive every day, though with the lasting winter it is apparent that soon food stores will diminish entirely. With the army currently busied by the war offshore and the land of their home increasingly compromised by the impinging darkness of The Creep, these are desperate times for Tathar.

There are many canons to choose from as well as the opportunity to create your own dynamic character and integrate them into this ever changing world.
