Daniella’s slender build is underweight but not to a skeletal extent. She still has curves, with a taut, tiny waist, nice hips and lengthy legs to complete the package. Her delectable figure is often the cause of many envious stares from woman and plenty of double takes from men. She has alabaster white skin, always free from the heavy burden of acne; nevertheless she still wears a lot of unnecessary foundation. A favorite cosmetic of hers would have to be liquid liner – you won’t catch her dead without it bringing out her beautiful blue eyes. Personality:
Daniella; she decides if she’ll love you or hate you upon first meetings. Usually it’s the latter of the two. She’s difficult to get along with due to her sharp tongue, loud mouth and derisive attitude towards nearly everything and everyone. If something’s on her mind you can guarantee she’ll speak up, regardless of who she may offend in the process. This isn’t to say that she’s antisocial however because the girl craves social interaction. Not on a friendship level though. She doesn’t like the idea of anyone getting too close. Instead she hangs with the crowd that most parents would dread they’re darling little daughter associating with. Dealers, fellow druggies, people with fucked up pasts and even more fucked up futures. She prefers the rougher crowd because they can relate to her, and usually don’t expect anything else from her that isn’t purely physically. Yeah she’s a bit of a hoe and wouldn’t think twice about fucking a stranger if they were hot. She’s even resorted to prostitution in order to get money (although you won’t hear her admitting that anytime soon). The last time a girl called her out for whoring around, mentioned girl ended up with a black eye and a broken nose. She uses intimidation and violence to gain respect from her peers and most of the time it works.

She’s afraid of commitment or having genuine feelings for another person. ‘Love’ is a sign of weakness, a feeling she’s forbid herself from sharing with anyone. If only things could be that simple. She’s fallen hard for people in the past and the emotions that come with that terrify the girl. Her solution? Push them away, be bitchy, act like they mean naught to her. It kills her inside to do it but she’s certain it’s for the best. Because of this most relationships she’s involved in tend to last for a few weeks – maximum. She’s figured that’s the best way to keep the chances of love at bay. And if breaking up with them doesn’t solve the problem she’ll cut them out of her life entirely. It’s not that she doesn’t have a heart; she’s just incredibly guarded with her feelings and someone has yet to have the time or commitment to try help her out. She’s not prepared to let down the brick wall she’s built around her feelings, and it’s unlikely she ever will.

Daniella also suffers from maniac depression, otherwise known as bipolar. She has frequently unpredictable mood swings that result in extreme highs and lows. Some days she’s unable to sit still, simply bustling with hyperactivity. During these times she can come off as cheerful, simply because she’s excitable about nearly everything. However the next day her mood will be the polar opposite. She’ll either be overly subdued, moping about and wishing she was dead or become extremely irritable, snapping even more than usual. Her medication helps with the mood swings, but she still has her moments.

History:
As an infant Daniella saw very little of her Mother. Instead she was often left in the care of Kristy – Helena’s older sister. Although Kristy was a complete sweetheart and treated Dani well, the young girl always longed to spend more time with her Mother. It wasn’t until Daniella was ten years old that her wish was fulfilled. Helena told the girl she would no longer need to be babysat by Kristy. She was getting married to a new man by the name of Kurt and they would now be able to live as a happy family. Daniella was absolutely rapt, loving the idea of finally having a more normal life, and getting to spend more time her Mum. Alas things did not turn out all sunshine and rainbows.

Kurt (her new ‘father’ as her Mother put it) was an alcoholic. An abusive one at that. Within two months of marriage his ugly side began to show. Daniella witnessed her Mother being beaten by Kurt on a regular basis and all she could do was curl up in the corner and cry. One particular night it all got too much and Dani attempted to stand up for her Mother. She screamed at Kurt to stop hurting her, only to result in the man punching Dani smack in the ribs, breaking one of them in the process. While being driven to the hospital Helena fabricated a lie to cover up the incident and told her daughter to go along with it. Dani was utterly perturbed to why her Mother didn’t tell the truth, but still agreed with the story. When questioned they told medical professionals she’d had a nasty trip on the staircase. Daniella’s own explanation was less then convincing but with no evidence, the doctor’s skepticism went nowhere.

Things only got worse from here on out. When Helena wasn’t around Kurt would take his anger out on poor Dani. Fast forward a year later and he had started to sexually abuse her too. Helena guessed what was happening. She saw the black eyes, noticed the way Dani trembled with terror whenever Kurt entered the room. Despite this she turned a blind eye. She was too scared to be left alone again and had convinced herself that she needed Kurt in her life – more than her own daughter. The girl was forced to live with the ongoing trauma with no emotional support whatsoever. She resorted to bulimia as a way to manage her feelings, and unsurprisingly her frequent trips to the bathroom after meals went unnoticed. Daniella felt invisible to her Mother and a deep resentment began to grow as a result.

The abuse continued until Daniella turned sixteen years old and finally snapped, confessing to her Mother about the sexual abuse and begging her to leave the man who’d ruined her childhood. Instead of receiving any comfort at all she was accused of being an attention seeking brat who was trying to ruin her Mother’s happiness. Helena slapped Daniella and kicked her out of the house, arranging her to live fulltime with her aunty Kristy. Traumatized and confused she began to act out at school. She fell into drugs, promiscuity and alcohol to help numb the pain and became to build a wall around her true feelings. At the same time, signs of bipolar were emerging. Daniella’s moods were all over the place. One minute she’d be exaggeratedly ecstatic then the next she’d be snapping at everybody. Her concerned aunt picked up on the irregular behavior and took Daniella to a psychologist for an assessment. As it turns out she was diagnosed with bipolar, and warned to refrain from reckless behavior that would worsen the condition. Of course Daniella was never one to take good advice. She continued with her down spiraling obsession into the world of drugs and crime. She even turned to prostitution as a means to obtain money.

Unable to handle Daniella’s out of control life style, Kristy turned to the last resort – sending the now eighteen year old girl to rehab. Her admittance was entirely against her own will, but now she has no choice but to adjust to the program or be stuck here for a very long time.
