Our Anger Management Programming;;
[/b]People in our anger management program are patients who have previous assault and battery charges, and have extreme aggression towards other humans in general. They will work with our staff to learn other ways of expressing themselves and rehabilitate their behaviour through our five-step program. Drug tests are mandatory every 2 weeks for stages one to three, and once a month for stages four and five.
Stage One;
Our ABP, or Aggressive Behaviour Patients, will start off through daily group therapy meetings, and once a week meet with a one-on-one counselor. They are discouraged from engaging in any large social gatherings. They will be living in a single bed dorm.
Stage Two;
During stage two, AB patients will meet once a week in group therapy, and meet with a one-on-one counselor twice a week to see how they feel about their advancements. They are encouraged to engage is social activites in small amounts. It is at this stage that they can make the decision to live in a two bed or multiple bed dorm room and have friends of either gender visit their room.
Stage Three;
Stage three AB patients are encouraged to participate in multiple activities throughout the House, and have a large amount of freedom. Group meetings are held bi-weekly, and one-on-one sessions occur at the end of the month.
Stage Four;[/b]
At stage four, our patients are finished their group sessions and meet with a one-on-one counselor at the end of the month. At this stage, they are allowed to leave the facility after 10 AM but must be back in the facility by 9 PM (patients aged 15 and 16) or 1030 PM (patients aged 17 - 23).
Stage Five;
This last stage lasts a month. It is the final stage, with one last one-on-one session at the end of the month. They have the same freedoms as the did in stage four, and can now be released into society.[/blockquote][/blockquote]
